Marc Cohen is a Group Vice President and Co-Head of Leasing at The Taubman Company, an industry leader in the development and management of regional, super-regional and outlet malls in the United States. The 18 shopping centers in the Taubman U.S. portfolio, produce the highest sales per square foot in the industry.
Marc began his career in the retail real estate industry in 1987 and brings 38 years of experience in a broad range of leasing, acquisition and redevelopment projects. Marc has partnered with a variety of national and international retailers to enhance the merchandising and productivity of Taubman’s dynamic portfolio of shopping centers. His deep understanding of the evolving retail landscape coupled with his adaptability in adjusting to consumer trends helps lead to merchandising strategies that reflect consumer demand.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University as well as a law degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. Prior to joining Taubman he was a litigation associate at a prominent Detroit law firm. He is a long-time member of ICSC and has served on a number of non-profit boards including Friendship Circle, Birmingham Bloomfield Chai Center, Michigan State Hillel, Frankel Jewish Academy and the Hebrew Benevolent Society. He resides in Birmingham, Michigan with his wife, Patti Kelter, a leading interior designer in Metro Detroit.
